This is a rant dedicated to men on myspace. Does using myspace make men stupid some how? It seems there are many whose IQ drops down a few points. For some reason they lose the ability to read and, in some cases the ability to spell. My profile clearly states that I have a boyfriend. Also for my relationship status. It says in a relationship. Yet I still get messages like these "wow u r hot we should hook up sum time" or " ur so hot we should def hang out". I even had a guy IM me and ask if I like older men. It makes me so angry. Some men just assume because I have a profile. That I am looking to be hit on. They also assume it's ok to call me all sorts of cute names. Such as babe, hottie, cutie and sweetheart.
I detest being called babe. There is just something about it that irks me. Granted it can be used in a playful way. Usually it's just used by some random guy. In a pathetic attempt to hit on me. For the record I am not a man hater. I do have male friends that I respect and that I am fond of. It's just the idiotic ones who give all the rest a bad name. I can not stand them at all. The men who call me a bitch for speaking my mind. The ones who get mad when they find out I have a boyfriend. Then tell me I have no business being on the internet. As if the internet is only a place for single women and whores. Self
obsessed twits who think they are gods gift to all women.
Well, I am done with my rant now. I will continue to ignore those men. Their messages will be deleted. I will try not to drown in the sea of stupidity. Which is myspace a good portion of the time.
Bye for now,
Mel
